So you are actually playing in the Inline nationals? That is really cool.

Yeah, but the only ice rinks in the north island are in auckland
The south island's more ice dominated, so I might take up ice when I go to live down there next year

The inline system's a bit messed since were such a minority sport, so nationals is a competiton between then best teams from each club in nz, then for inter-regionals the country's split into 4 regions and the best players from each region are selected, then the big event is oceanias where the best inter-regional players are selected to represent nz and play against australia.

We do have a team that we send overseas to play in division 1 of the international competition but only the best senior men and prems players go to that.
